What Information do you store?

Details of each user account, contact form submission, stockist application, sample request, representative visit request and mailing list subscription are stored in a secure database, preventing the illegal access and malicious use of your data.

Website registration

When you register with us, Visage Textiles collects a small amount of ‘Personal Data’ that is vital to your registration with us. ‘Personal data’ is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. That means any information that could be used, on its own or in conjunction with other data, to identify an individual, about you or your partner who register with Visage Textiles.

Your registration information is stored securely in a database and in plain text, with the exception of your password, which is encrypted to prevent unauthorised access to your own personal login area.

Contact forms

When you submit any of the contact forms on the Visage Textiles website, your submission is sent to us via email. The details we collect are specifically those found on the form you fill in.

The details are kept only as long as they are relevant, and are removed completely once the request/submission has been dealt with. We do not store submission details any longer they are required, and details are never passed on to any third party or non-Visage Textiles contact (unless specifically requested/consented by the owner of those details).

Google Analytics

We track each page of our site using Google Analytics. Google Analytics enables us to monitor and analyse web traffic and can be used to keep track of User behaviour and also by extension to ensure that we’re providing content for you that is relevant and interesting. Google Analytics (Google Inc.) Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilises the Data collected to track and examine the use of this Application, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Sessions work in very much the same way, storing data temporarily for the Visage Textiles website so that the website can confirm who you are for security reasons. Visage Textiles does not share your information

We do not share or release your information with anyone, without exception. All information submitted to the Visage Textiles website is kept under lock and key and used for internal business only; no third parties, no spam, just good quality service from a customer-oriented fabric supplier.

How we protect your information

Secure certificate – encrypting your data

SSL Certificates are files that digitally create a cryptographic key to a website’s details. When installed on a website, the certificate shows as a padlock in your browser and the HTTPS protocol allows us to create a secure connection between the Visage Textiles website and your browser.

Visage Textiles installs the SSL Certificate onto its web server to create a secure session with browsers. Once a secure connection is in place, all web traffic between the web server and the web browser will be secure. Visage Textiles has always implemented a secure certificate so that you can rest assured the data you submit through our website is encrypted and kept away from prying eyes.

Data Protection Officer

As part of the GDP Regulations Visage Textiles have internally appointed a Data Protection Officer who will handle any requests relating to the use, removal or request of your personal data. Notification of security breaches / Access attempts

In the rare event that there is a security breach and your information is compromised, Visage Textiles will disclose such a breach to you personally, promptly and directly, informing you of how the team are working to prevent such a breach from happening in the future.

How can I access, update, or delete the collected data?

You can manage data by contacting us directly. The following two items – Right to Erasure and Right to Access – define how you can manage the data that Visage Textiles holds for you.

Right to Erasure – what it means and how we help

Also known as the ‘Right to be forgotten’; Visage Textiles users have the right to request that we delete all personal and peripheral information we hold for you. You may request this at any time, and Visage Textiles will permanently remove all of information we hold that is directly associated to you. If required we can also providing you with an export of what has been deleted if you let us know at the time of your request.

If you would like Visage Textiles to remove your details, please send us an email using your registered Visage Textiles email address to our Data Protection Officer at enquiries@visagetextiles.com and we will export and send you your information promptly.

We will confirm the identity of the person making the request before we export any personal data, so it’s important that you contact us using the same email address you registered with. This ensures that you own the information we export, and prevents security breaches. If you can’t remember the email address you signed up with please get in touch and we will help you locate those details so that we can complete the process.

Once we have confirmation of your identity your data will be removed and exported as soon as possible.

Right of Access requests – what it means and how we help

An EU resident has a right to a copy of all the data Visage Textiles has collected about them in an electronic format, and also to know how that information is being used. For the current Visage Textiles website, this information includes your registration details and details surrounding orders and contact form submissions.

If you would like a copy of the details we have, please send us an email using your registered Visage Textiles email address to our Data Protection Officer at enquiries@visagetextiles.com and we will export and send you your information promptly. If you can’t remember your registration details please contact us directly and we will help you locate those details so that we can complete the process.

Once we have confirmation of your identity your data will be exported and sent to you as soon as possible.
